Youth helpers needed
On Tuesday, October 24 we are showing the Luther Film at 7pm in Sanctuary.
Youth please come at 6:30pm and help sell concessions.
All proceeds will go to the Frontier's Mission team headed by Roxanne and Jeff Johnson.
Family Camping 1 Night Adventure
Family Camping 1 Night AdventureMeet at church parking lot on Friday, Nov 10 at 3:00pm OR meet us there. Return back to church on Saturday around 4pm.
Location: Trona Pinnacles, located approximately 20.0 miles east of
Ridgecrest. Access to the site is from a BLM dirt road (RM143) that leaves SR
178, about 7.7 miles east of the intersection of SR 178 and the Trona-Red
Mountain Road. The 5.0-mile long dirt road from SR 178 to the Pinnacles is
usually accessible to 2-wheel drive vehicles.
No cell service
(unless you have Verizon). If you get lost, call Andi 928-266-5318.
There is a portable
toilet and no running water.
Need camping gear? Contact Andi Berryman to see what you
can borrow. Don’t want to pack your own food? $15 per person provides for dinner
(hot dogs and chili, smores) breakfast (cereal and fruit), and lunch
(sandwiches and veggies).
OR pack your meals and
bring what you like.
Maximum cost for
families is $30.
Youth are encouraged
to come with their families. Youth coming individually, will need a complete
medical release form, sleeping bag, sleeping mat and $15.

High School Hour
A new thing has added to Thursday nights,
HIGH SCHOOL HOUR.
From 7-8pm each Thursday we have a high school students only.
Activities will be playing board games, eating, Bible studies, and a variety of fun.
Each week and come check it out.
The HEAT youth group 5:30-7:00pm and High School Hour from 7-8pm every Thursday.

Girls-only night and Guys-only night
Two events happening at the same time.
For all middle school and high school students. Everyone arrives at 6pm to Grace Center with $5.
Girls- will leave town and have a campfire in the desert. Please bring closed-toed shoes, jacket and flashlight.
Guys- will have a cook out at the Grace Center and play games. Guys bring video games.
GraceFest Concert
When: Saturday,
September 16. Leaving at 10:30am from parking
lot at Grace Lutheran Church.
What: 10th annual Christian
music festival filled with national and local artists.
Cost per student: $20. Please sign up with Andi and
pay in order to hold your spot. Dinner will be provided.
Please bring
spending money for lunch at In-N-out or Panda Express in Palmdale and any extra
spending money for band souvenirs or additional snacks. (Suggestion $10 for
lunch and $15 for extra)
What to bring:
· Water bottle- REQUIRED
· Lunch money or packed lunch- REQUIRED
· Light jacket –this event is outdoors
· Blanket or camp chair –if you have an
extra please bring it and share
· Sunscreen and hat
· Camera/phone for pictures
The HEAT Youth Ministry will provide:
· Transportation there and back. Event
ends at 10pm; we will arrive in Ridgecrest around midnight.
· Dinner
· Entrance Ticket
· Snacks and gallons of water to fill
up water bottles.

What is it: Students and youth leaders spend a week in cabins up in the mountains of the San Bernardino National Forest. Study the Bible, meet other high school youth groups, and do lots of camp activities. Such as; ropes course, paintball, skate park, disc golf, art shop, malt shop, and pool.
The Grace Lutheran Church took students to Winter Camp 2015. Everyone who attended said “God rocked their world” during their camp experience. They were only there 48 hours, imagine what God can do in a week!

Grace Lutheran has taken a team of youth and adults in 2015 and 2016. See below their experience.
What was the hardest thing you did during the trip?
· Talking and seeing the homeless guys
· waking up at 6 every morning and only have 40 minutes to get ready
· Some of the gardening tasks
· Traffic!!!
· Walking through the city tour in LA in 110 degrees
· Saying goodbye on the last day
What was the most rewarding thing you did during this mission trip?
· Talking to homeless men and women who were very encouraging
· Getting to help people and serving on a team
· I learned so much! I learned more about people experiencing homelessness, facts about Los Angeles. I met a group of very energetic college students working for the Lord; I learned more and grew closer to our church group.
· Witnessing and participating in the youth letting Jesus into their hearts
· Building the “A” frames on the garden day
· Playing with the children at Hope Gardens

The youth event deadline

April 7-9 Planet Wisdom Youth Retreat takes place in Orange County. Cost by March 3 is $54 for registration and $30 for housing. Need half down ($42) to hold your spot.
Need to raise money? Rent-A-Student Fundraiser on April 1, 22, May 6 and 13. Students will work designated Saturdays and earn money toward their youth accounts. Arrive in work clothes at 9am at Grace Center and we will drive to work site together.

· Friday, March 10 Guys Night 4:30-10:00pm and Girls Night 5:00-10pm.For Guys Night meet at Grace Center. Bring: Medical Release form, $5, flashlight, jacket, and wear closed-toed shoes. Outdoor games off site, food around camp fire, and Bible study.
For Girls Night come to the Grace Center. Bring a Medical Release form, $5, jacket, and wear closed-toed shoes. Cooking lessons and dinner and dessert.
· Thursday, March 23-24 Death Valley Youth Trip and Sleepover. Trip starts at 9am and Youth Group will take place in Death Valley. We will return at 9pm to Grace Center for sleepover. Trip cost $15. For Hike: Medical Release form, $15, water bottle, flashlight, hat/ sunscreen, jacket, & closed-toed shoes. For Sleepover: tooth brush, sleeping bag, and comfortable clothes.
· Sunday, March 26 Tank Wars 5:30-8:00pm. Come build a lasting card-board tank and battle at Grace Center. Free youth event.
